Summer is a busy time for all of us. Please take the time to read this newsletter and note the important information provided. NEWS The following motion was approved by the membership during the June 5, 2008 |
WORK The work picture is slow for both, reinforcing and structural. There is a lot of work scheduled this summer. Unfortunately, a majority of the projects have been delayed for one reason or another. Work on the windmills should be strong this summer, with two projects scheduled to begin in Arlington, Oregon. PHONE BANK Retiree, Ernie Soto, has volunteered to help create a system to notifl members of
injuries and deaths within our membership. Those members interested in helping
with the phone bank or being placed on the notification list please contact Jim
Pauley at the hall.

ELECTION 2008 All members not registered to vote are encouraged to do so. The upcoming election
in November will be important to our future success as Ironworkers. PICNIC The Ironworkers Annual Picnic will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2008, at Oaks
Park in Portland, Oregon. The picnic will begin at 11 :00a.m. Ride bracelets will be
provided for children. Ribs and brisket will be served. Please bring any side dishes
The Annual Ironworkers Golf Tournament will be held on July 26th, 2008, at the Gresham Golf Course. Cost is $50 for green fees, which include a cart and dinner. Contact Jim Pauley to reserve a tee time. |
